I pine my piece of knotty pine, That splendid length of wood divine, To gaze upon her weathered grain, Wood cause rejoice beyond explain. It seems a lifetime since she left, As now I lanquor, sad, bereft, Without my piece of knotty pine, My life is knotless, without define. I am so board without my pine Where is my pine with knot so fine? No lacquered sheen, just rough hewn length, With knots of splendor, knots of strength, Some feared my piece of knotty wood, My two-by-four, misunderstood, Knot the smoothest of the lot, No finer wood knot wood knot be bought, I miss my wood, where did she go, My knotty pine, I need her so, I fear my knot has felt saw’s bite, Or perhaps a fungal blight, What if my pine, my heart's desire, Has met the flame, met burning fire? But most of all, I fear knot’s plight, If evil termite, oh what fright! I swear I never will complain, About a splinter’s minor pain, If my piece of knotty pine, Wood just return, to be ever mine. /pip/Forum33/HTML/001690.html [This message has been edited by Tim (10-06-2002 02:10 AM).] |
