time has flown
the kids have grown

it seems like only yesterday
your wedding vows exchanged
both of you
with eyes of blue
oh how the world has changed

I remember well, your wedding date
a hot air ballon
in the afternoon
up up and away...to celebrate

No way...so they got married when they were five years old, hey?

Did I ever tell you about the hot air balloon that came down in my back yard? Remind me to do that some day...a big black balloon with some strange looking white creature painted on it with some funny lookin' ears, and you should'a SEEN what came out of the basket!!!

Thanks Karilea...Yes...they might have been 5 or maybe 6 years old...but very mature for their age

Now about this balloon that came down in your backyard.....that had to have been when you lived here, in Kalamazoo...in fact, I remember it.
It was filled with giant, walking, Hershey's Kisses.

the funny thing is...I almost forgot it was their anniversary. Usually, I buy a card and send it to them through snail mail, but it was too late for that...so, I looked for an e-card for them and couldn't find one I liked....thats why I wrote the poem!
