Listening to every heart

Thank you, Flowergirl….

Her weave of
Nasturtium instantly seeded
My recall
Then my soul jumped back
To that sunny day

Standing in my father’s
Shadow
Holding the packet of orange-tiums…
Waiting to throw
The nastys
Into the ground

Daddy had that way of
Splitting his finites into
Infinity and packets of seed
Into spits of color

Perhaps because mother
Didn’t care for nasty terraniums
I cared for them more, as
Dad bought the packet for me
Then, not her

And I grew special in his
Discern as he chuckled over her
Thundering…but today
As I sit amid a real
Thunderstorm…

Pondering that
Perhaps it was her way of
Making that moment of
Special delivery, wedging me
Closer to my dad as only
A mother can…

By giving something for
The vimen of this love
Something  to lean upon
There in his
shadow

Karilea, I did not have to go any further than this to know it was our Martie who inspired this.
Today was a good day for writing afterall I see
What a wonderful memory was triggered here and beautifully penned as only you can.
Enjoyed so much....hugs, Nancy.

I love the way you say this, Karilea...

Standing in my father’s
Shadow
Holding the packet of orange-tiums…
Waiting to throw
The nastys
Into the ground

and I would like to thank Martie for inspiring you.
Its just just gorgeous and says so very much.
