In case anybody missed it, Part 1 is here: /pip/Forum43/HTML/000077.html ___________________________________ "The Naked Ice- Part 2" So, there I was with a dead corpse staring in my face! His eyes were open wide and I was shaking from this case! Why had I taken on this Babe? (Well, she sure looked real nice...) but this gumshoe had killed a man over her naked ice!! And so I thought I'd check the body - (not the Babe, the stiff) and see what clues that I could gander, but PEW! I got a whiff! This Six-String Larry smelled like gin! He reeked and what was worse.... his bloodshot eyes had tears in them as I reached for his purse! The wallet that I found gave hints to the whereabouts of Gabe. (It's funny, though, my mind flew quick to thoughts of legs on Babe!) I picked through calling cards and napkins, notes about straight talk, and found a clue that led me to the port called Kitty Hawk. The Outer Banks!, of course!, I thought! That's where I'd find ol' Gabe! (But still my mind took me to places on the lips of Babe!) The other thing I found inside the pockets of the goon, were 3 red berries smashed inside a napkin in a spoon. The napkin had these words that said, "Martha's Place - Come in". I'm onto something, here, I thought! My head began to spin! Ok, for now, I'll leave you readers! Thanks for your involve! Perhaps these clues will help clear up this mystery to solve. You see, this sleuth is someone else! Yes someone else, indeed! Can anyone out there explain? Do you have any lead? yours truly, Casablanca Confidential [This message has been edited by Casablanca Confidential (edited 11-17-2000).] |

Well, I'm not that good at guessing mysteries, but I am able to identify a poem filled with delightful humor and suspense. Enjoyed the read very much! |

Hmmmm I must admit...I'm terrible at "who done it's"...haven't picked up a mystery since Nancey Drew and the Hardy Boys...just a "couple" years ago ....but cranberries...made me think of Nan But no matter who's wearing the shoes and stepping in gum....I'm enjoying the read |

Who me?... I've read parts one and two of this poetic soap... I assure you that NEITHER of these excerpts are my poetic words... Do we have a "Larry" among us??.. |

It seems the mystery remains unsolved. So, who else wants to get involved? And NO!, Ms. Nan, no Larry's here! He's dead, you know! Wasn't that clear? |

They mystery is clear I fear, we all wonder who donnit when the other shoe hits the floor.. though I bet we'll ask who didn't? Hmmm.... There might be a Toerag in the room somewhere!???? Hate is a dead thing. Who of you would be a tomb? -Kahlil Gibran |
