I've been pondering this one, and I'm still not really sure.  I know for one I submitted to netpoets (mother site of piptalk), I had originally wanted strikethroughs, but had to settle with parentheses and an explanatory blurb on how they were used in the piece.

Hope you can find out how to do it, as sometimes, it can really add emphasis to the work.

Wow Ron! I was wondering about this as well.

Thanks Thank you for showing us how to do it. (I had to try it out...lol)

Hey, get serenity in here...she's been wanting to learn about "quote thingies" and she'll be bouncing on the walls if she learns strike out.  WooHoo!

Thanks again Kaile for asking this question, and thank you Ron for the answer.  This is something I wish I had known back in March of 1999, when 'When in Doubt, Revise' was first submitted to netpoets, since I did that one with intentional strikethroughs, but didn't know how to go about adding those, and settled on parentheses for the work's treatment, though it lacked the affect I was intending.  Thanks again, the both of you, for the question and answer.

kaile,
It is an interesting concept. Thanks for thinking outside the box.
