NO matter placing first or last that 1 +++++ Perfection plus Five Achieved Blinded Eyes Why oh Why As that became The EverAlwaysExpectant Mere Starting Point And How ever How Does one ever begin to know Where to Begin To Even warm up Believe me, no lie more a curse there is only one mountain completely high if people remembered you can only climb so high ere you can no longer breathe only die mountain climbers carry oxygen musicians reach for notes so high angels fear to fly one note just one note higher to Heaven Touching \ Forever One Glorious Moment You Know It's Unachievable But Those Five Impossible pluses Never Ever let You Forget the Quest Impossible As Perfection Five Stars Plus Leads Your Soul To Know Six Has To Exist "High on the Mountain, where the Sun stil Shines, and the water runs a little lazy." |

eh? (a shortened user name-hope it's ok.) Isn't this the most? I tried to copy your poem in different parts, but didn't place it here before losing it all. I totally identify with this, but now at work I find myself sloughing in apathy, which is a real disappointment when I know I should be more motivated to do my best. (I referred a little to quality in a fairly recent poem, What Happened to Outstanding. I know I should work for that sixth star, but find I deserve a B- on some things, a real bummer. Thank you for addressing this topic. I'llread this again for inspiration. I hope more people check this out. It is well worth it. Do I know you? Sadelite |

I liked this -- I have to add that I really felt an ascension with the words, as if they were getting higher on a pitch scale -- as if they were climbing -- good effect. |

I was thumbing through, hunting for something and I found this. I don't think I have it in my library, so, please forgive me as I check it out now, and in doing so, have to send this to the top again. |

...only one mountain completely high... where rare air chairs the ledge here I sit, upon the edge, questioning gambits that led me here, thinking clear, on echoes' air... where edelweis bends, winks toward the sun following by face it's value of one never questioning but always in seek what gift, edelweis, as it peeks and plays to dance with air, so rare the majesty of white it bears... ...only one mountain completely high... and I would dwell, as if to touch your sky... |

Thanks all for the kind words and for Sunshine: thy response is lovely and inspiring sooooooooooooooooooooooo here we go A bit of history- When young moving to yet another school new band director to me at least outside was organizing student musicians competition wise sixteen in a hotel suite wailing trumpet when "regulars" arrived as the director wanted to know who was blowing the guests ears in a converted rehearsal room "Just me" I frowned "its my warm-up routine" being the eternal new-kid chastising from peers appeared which led my defiant nature to resume with increased vigor and pointedly sharply higher realms just because I can till the director himself showed himself proclaiming "you're blowing the roof off the hotel" to which I replied "I'm just warming up wait till we start to really play" To which he just shook his head, smiled and closed the door proceeding we as a symphony sat to play in contest to my delight hearing the director say why can I hear one single trumpet above this entire orchestra and his challenge to rise to the intensity of this bad-boy horn player who can never play high intense enough bad boys light fuses at time we can all use and to this day I shy away from any guitar that is not double octaved One needs those extra notes to make it soar When not playing in tears compliment Balancing the soft subtle dreamy quiet with the ever rising ever encompassing before falling slowly back silent heartbeat "High on the Mountain, where the Sun stil Shines, and the water runs a little lazy." |
