It started out as a little thing that emotion that she felt That * thing * she felt tightening its grip as if it were a tight belt She found her suspicions were getting stronger as each day rolled around Jealousy started consuming her every thought pushing all else out, she found It seemed the love she had once known was getting pushed farther away Taking its place in her heart was this demon possessing her more each day Then all these thoughts of revenge started taking over her mind She pushed her feelings of love away to conjure up all the hate she could find She tried her best not to think of the love they had once shared Or how he said he still loved her and she was the only one for which he cared She wanted to make him suffer and see his heart to break So every opportunity she could find the chance to do she would take Until the beautiful love they had shared was nowhere to be found Her jealousy that started out so small made hate the only emotion around This jealousy that now consumed her which was unfounded and untrue Had taken over her mind completely forcing her to do the deeds she would do Those deeds before now she never thought of in all the days of her life Were now being performed by her this jealous green-eyed monster of strife *><* Littlewings Challenge /pip/Forum7/HTML/000573.html |

So many lessons to be learned here, and words spoken that we should all heed. Jealousy is probably the #1 killer of good relationships. Loved how you did this...~V~ I speak from the Voice Of Experience |

You say it powerfully, dear Ethel! Jealousy kills love, but who can say that he or she has never known its devastating power creeping inside? May we learn ... You developed the theme excellently. Love, Margherita |

Elizabeth Liz Sue Eric Chris Ceinwyn Kathleen Vicky Dixie Voe Margherita I really thank all of you for reading my little challenge poem. As you all know, the challenge was to write something completely out of the ordinary for us.....and this was certainly out of the ordinary for me. It was definitely a challenge, because I try very hard not to be like the kind of person I wrote about in this poem. I appreciate all of you. Hugs Ethjel |
