how am I,
you ask?
to tell, I’d have
to rip your dress,
to pull us down
into each other,
drink your sea,
dive through
your depths,
drown happy
in the waves
of you,
dissolve....

and so I hold
the door, make
conversation, take
the left rail on
the stairs,
you the right,
and never
touch

Good morning, Ed--The fantasy and the reality contrasted here makes me wonder what the world would be like if we all lived our fantasy. Seems like that might have been your intention with this poem.

And you've got to expect it. When people have to be together day after day, there -will- be personal dynamics! Work life consists mainly of doing things you wouldn't choose to do otherwise.....and sometimes of NOT doing things you would....
