Your eyes drizzle over success, finding tears in coalesce. "The system must be wrong," you think, "For I do not receive attention." Looking for the seams to pull apart with fingers gone to claws. Eviscerate your brand of hate and jealousy. Talk to me. Your eyes keep tearing up, a mess, watching words in shimmer pools in which you cannot wade or guess. "The world is so unfair and shallow. No one marvels at the care I take to place these words in line." You're doing fine. You're doing fine, insubordinate eyes. Do not call up a new task, but rather cultivate your rows in weeds and thoughts of sour need that grow among your garden's greed. Do not break your spectacles across the paving stones of street. Walk the long and wandered mile, your eyes in bright deceit. Call for God to hear your plea. Close those eyes and intimate a conversation with divine, pretend your luxury finds sate. Pretend your words are worth the time to see the years within their line. There was a time when I knew why I wore your insubordinate eyes. |

Tim, I realized it was obvious enough to those who care on this issue. Mike |

(smiles) Yay! Oh Michael, this is a wonderful challenge response, eyes can always express so many windows to the soul and you share them all wonderfully here! (sigh) Kudos to you, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

smiling....myomy... What hath Zach wrought? Actually, I do wish I had the time to read and greet everyone here...it's sad, I think, that there may be some who set a personal value on the numbers. Fortunately, I am just as interested in reading, and as yanno, I have prolly the MOST fun replying. I'm a wicked little imp, and mean no harm--as YOU know, but oh my have I been misunderstood...chuckle..oh well... Thanks for taking this snippet of conversation and making such an eloquent statement, Mike. (and now, Ed is cajoling me to do some picture thing now! ) Bravo, Sir Squirrel. |

Thank you, Noah. Sen, I don't understand it either. It's almost as if, if we get a number above 7, we are calling upon friends far and wide to push our posts to the top. Reality check: It's a poetry site. Who cares what influence you hold? Just have fun, meet people, READ THEIR POEMS! Sheesh. Much love to you, Sen, for the idea. And I know the picture thing of which you speak of. I took Baba Yaga. This should be int'restin'. Mike |

Impressive work indeed.. I like that look and what you see, but most of all it's the introspection that you lend! I do believe you're getting better all the time "Mikey" |

Why does everyone insist on puttin' Mikey in quotations? I'm glad you enjoyed this, Lori. It was (strangely) really, really fun to write. Mike |
