If time is a river, it must be a river of rocks. The cascade of colored stones upon the current's muddy flow. The way they tick against themselves and talk to lowest reaches. Eyes without sight or sun, faceless faces facing me. If time is a river, it must be a river of petals. The brocade untwine of their colors, swimming braid-lines from the shore. Snakes of mingled water pollen floating face down for the fallen, brightening the dam's edge nearest where I sit and watch them go. If time is a river, it must be a river of paper. White edges and faceless faces to water, mud, unburdened stone. Watch the words flow to their ingress, egressed backward to the sun. To find and hold the cherish of dawn and meet the night's colors head on. [This message has been edited by bsquirrel (09-04-2002 06:28 PM).] |

..."To find and hold the cherish of dawn and meet the night's colours (whoops! that's the Canadian way of spelling it!) colors head on." "To find and hold the cherish of dawn and meet the night's colors head on"... Beared repeating! Linda |
