Tender Torn the Rose In the morning comes a gale in power push against the frail and tender torn the rose’s bloom has given up too soon too soon To dwell in opening day delight the strength must be like bluebird’s flight for petals lifted at sunset’s cross come morn are bowing with the loss So like flower a child went to growing strong as life was meant yet sometimes stern and cold rebuke takes the spirit from the youth Gossamer wings of climbing up follow now in natures jump and the bud that daylight found pulled its strength from rich earth ground In the morning cloak of pale dense damp air keeps winds from sail and tender torn the rose’s blossom that tried to grow in soil forgotten ------- from 8-01 |

Martie, This has taken my breath away. It is beautiful! I want to write like that, how tender and sensitive. You paint a majestic powerful picture. I rejoice with you the many splendors of the rose and bow to you for your decpiction of it. There is much beauty in this descriptive sadness. SimplyGold |

Hows about I just simply say this.... I agree with both ladies...cause it quite simply is how it is, and how you paint is quite simply how it should be.... thanx Martie...tis a gem.... |

Sweet Martie - I am running out of words to tell you just how much I love your poems!! Lovely. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

(smiles) Oh Martie, I just loved the metaphor of this, sweet friend, a sweet child rising to weather the storms and blossom in the rain! (kiss on cheek) This is breathtaking, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
