first hint of spring mist
is in dew as it is kissed
in the break of light

whiff of scented breeze
serenades Persephone
trails along her skirt

shining sun sparkling
dancing fairies on dust motes
lyre strums golden dreams

she calls upon me
Persephone, sing to me
spring's sweet, soulful song

~*~

gilded lilies white
trail pathways airy and bright
velvet footpath light

~*~

Persephone loved
through persimmon knew the truth
spring births eternal

The wheat from the chaff to sift
Little nuggets of golden lore
Fall from your pen and evermore
I'll gather these pearls of know
To wash my soul in this pool like so
To learn the secrets that let you fly
Over the world and across the sky
    Don’t leave my soul in ignorance
    Give me that which lets me dance

You sprinkle fantasy with delight
With words woven in fairy sight
A mist of meaning may lie there
A wondering of do or dare
These little poems your souls gift
Written to give us all a lift
A magical web you weave us in
Take us on a voyage within
The sights of your Camelot my friend
Won’t suddenly come to a dead end
For your writings enchanted are
But the sum of you is more by far
         Feed my soul with your fairy touch
         And I’ll tell you of my dreams of such

(sigh) Phew.......thank God, I can only begin to imagine how worried Demeter can be and how much she has to suffer every autumn and winter without her daughter, now she is back to bring the blessings and the flowers up again!
