I did this one at the Buddha Jam in Towson, Md. on friday night 3/15 first time with a band or anywhere and it was the most awesome feeling I've had performing to date....bout a 20 min jam of these words and improv off the text...... Jumpin' thru the fire movin' on rage blazin' on the plantation party in the woods layin' down nothin' but the good clear clean salt of worth and of course the wounds will burn..... That's why you gotta jump thru the fire gotta do it sometime before we expire I am not a liar come on... jump on thru the fire. Storm came whippin' in the whole of the populace left to sink or swim and ya know what they did? fact the news couldn't keep hid facing forward ain't no test cause babies we are on a quest in this place we know the best call it the land ya eventually leave the one for which we all grieve till we end up living so miserably.... Jump on thru the fire see the other side......Mark Coburn |

I keep thinking I should research the Baltimore area for poetry readings..I have always wanted to attend one.. This was very good Mark...and I can't imagine it with music..so I guess I will have to locate one soon and hear for myself. *s M |

Odd how I am reading this while listening to "C'mon baby, light my fire..." an omen, perhaps... |
