~*~ Daisies of my heart ~*~
I’d give you a daisy Today Look at it Closely Try to figure What does it say…
The white tiny petals Holding the yellow heart In its peak Oh… how many words does it speak? Can you count? Can you figure? Would you silently seek The secrets Hidden within this fragile figure?
But What secrets lie in that heart When it is too shining Too clear from the start? Easily seen Never really hidden By the petals. Too pure To know The dangers Of being exposed so
You looked at me And silently asked Why a daisy Why? Oh… Hush…. And try Listen to the unuttered sigh And learn The secret guarded Close by
A daisy, sir Would perfectly tell Of the heart That hide within me In its cell
Small… It’s true Lost When it is held by you
White… Indeed Telling of the Pure innocence That resides In its seed
Fragile… Yes… Yet strong So beware And keep it safe From all wrong
A daisy.... I give you today Did you realize finally What does it say?

Thank you

It speaks of the simplest wisdom which is always within us and around us though we blindly seek it. It is a wisdom which binds the universe together and which our world so desparately needs to receive and give in these modern times. This poem resonates with this enchanting frequency and plays a haunting and unforgetable melody to remind its readers of the beauty within.

This is incredible. You have developed the daisy heart metaphor so nicely! I will add this to my favorites, to read on cold and melancholy nights. Very refreshing.
