Livingroom Stream I awake with visions of sleep in my eye Skylite above my bed I enjoy the 5 am sky Cotton-candy clouds playing hide and seek As I see Luna smiling, giving me a little peek To the kitchen to start up a pot of columbian brew Glancing out bay windows to see what my garden grew Petals of roses still somber in scented hugs of essence Hibiscus starting to stretch color sensing my presence Off to the enclosure of glass and gold plated chrome Cascading warmth pouring over me welcoming me home Marbled basins to hold mirrored reminders of coming age Scented plumes in ceramic surrounded by pot pourri's of sage Hot cup of coffee and a window bench to the world outside Picturesque views of my Koi pond giving me so much pride Enhanced with colors in my garden of rainbows and green Pondering dewdrops on grass wondering what does it mean Crimson and gold kissing orange against horizons so blue Blinds pulled up from floor to ceiling frames of clear view Prisms of color sliding across tiles of european styled class As the sun pierces the depths of my nauticalistic stained glass A wink from me with knowledge of what this day will now hold As I pass from room to room on carpets warm and tiles of cold Visiting last the pride of this poets eyes lost in his eternal dream As I down breakfast under the oak next to my living room stream Mark Bohannan [This message has been edited by Mark Bohannan (edited 10-12-2000).] |

Mark What can I say! A well-written verse. About the only thing though is the lack of space for those in need. Daniel J D |

Mark my friend well isn't this a beauty, pure gold. Absolutely a feast for the eyes, but don't ask me to do more than gaze at the beauty. It seems utterly impossible for me to be within ten feet of any plant without it keeling over. Still I can enjoy the view from here with your amazing skills, and am I glad, the roses are probably breathing a sigh of relief as well!! Take care, and you do know I love this don't you, I thought you did! Marsha |

Yeah right!!!!ROFL okay so you know that the waterfall is in the bedroom...care to tell the folks how YOU now that???????ROFLLLLLLL and HECK ya a stream why not?? Thank you my sweet friend. Holly-I could use some help with the location of the orange trees. Care to help???? I will have a cup of coffee waiting for you along with a cowboy breakfast!!! Thank you much. Marge-Thank you and I myself like those two lines as well. Hugs to you sweet friend. Kathleen-Thank you so much and what better to write about than nature...well, maybe love but it is all one and the same is it not? Robert-yes, it does at times and I just scoop up what I can. Glad you could see me in it. Victoria-Now would those be "BOOT" slippers????? Thank you much neighbor Martie-Did you know that short of the skylite above the bed, the stream in the living room and you across the table with a cup of coffee, that this "IS" what I wake up to every morning!!! Spoiled aren't I?? BTW..."you" don't ever need an invite for coffee, just show up and we will watch the clouds roll by through til dawn of the next day |

jinxed-The challenge was to write about your dream house and it is in the challenge forum still if you go back a day or two. And YES, you may have as many cups of coffee as you like and I too would love to watch the sunrise with you my friend. The visuals are just the way I see things just as the way you write is the way that you feel and you do that so well. Thank you so much for your always kind words. |

passing shadows-Thank you so much and I am glad that I could share my dream with you. Balladeer-Sure my friend...pack them bags and come on over. Have a butterfly's mom on the way too for you maybe. If I can arrange that would you promise to "NOT" try on those wings of yours please? Jhonbus-Yes the morning dew is so cleansing with just it's freshness...goes good with a cup of coffee. Once again welcome to Passions and I KNOW you will love it here and thank you. SEA-Planting daisies NOW...this very minute...now will you come and watch the sunrise with me through the sky-lite? Thank you much. vicky-Housekeeper you say? With "ALL" the fringe benefits? SURE...tossing out my mom now...come on over LOL!!!! Thank you my friend and I will put an extra cup on for you. Looks like it is going to be a crowded house after all but as long as it is all poets then who would complain. |

Mark I am so impressed with this one you've penned! By the way Mark, I realize Balladeer has dibbs on roomie status per say, but how's the stables look out back (servant quarters) Perhaps youNbutterfly will need some caretakers around the house... I'm sure we can drum up some volunteers Always a delight reading your rhymes Coco [This message has been edited by CocoBaci (edited 10-13-2000).] |

Coco-My sweet friend, you my dear may have the room directly across from Balladeer and no caretakers just friends sharing beautiful mornings together and I am sure that my butterfly feels the same....matter of fact I KNOW it to be true as her heart is as pure and precious as the gold in Heaven's gates. If I keep posting the office's notes to our offical poet late. I'm going to end up hung drawn and quartered, bit messy, but you should see the punishment for being late with the tea! Anyway Mark my friend here goes, and I have to mention that Daphne kept this on her screen all through her shift! This is the best yet, I love this Daphne This is so beautiful Jan Great work David I love this one Delia Oh isn't this good Fran Wow Kelsy Super, doesn't he make it sound great Sue Yes I really like this one Pat Can we have this on the board Mel (Yes they can and now have it) At the years end we have decided to vote for our favourite, but since the group love each one more it's going to be difficult. Oh and I'm not allowed a vote. But they have all asked me to say your work is amazing and thank you for posting it for them to read. Also they think your replies are really nice! Take care Marsha 'Fan club Pres' |

"Crimson and gold kissing orange against horizons so blue Blinds pulled up from floor to ceiling frames of clear view Prisms of color sliding across tiles of european styled class As the sun pierces the depths of my nauticalistic stained glass A wink from me with knowledge of what this day will now hold As I pass from room to room on carpets warm and tiles of cold Visiting last the pride of this poets eyes lost in his eternal dream As I down breakfast under the oak next to my living room stream" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mark: This is breathtaking! By far my favorite of yours and one of my favorites here at Passions all together. Stunning imagery, that left visions permanently embedded in my mind. The two stanzas above are my favorite but this whole piece echoed with grace and tranquility. You do imagery proud. This is what I call poetic justice Take care m'friend. As I prowl around the archives, it shames me to notice just how many magnificent poems somehow escaped me adding my two cents worth. LOL. I remember reading this, Mark... and turning a rather unflattering shade of green with envy. LOL. I've never had a skylite above my bed, but when I had my condo, I'd often sleep on the couch so I could see the sky above my head (storms are especially neat *G*) The imagery you've used is so superb I could smell the coffee and the flowers. *S* Both your poem and the scene you've created are absolutely beautiful! So... I know your house is full... but I'm a great gardener... and every cowboy living in such paradise should have someone to care for his horse. *G* Can I have a job? LOL. I promise to be very discreet and make sure the house is vacant when I peek in the windows (and that's not just to give you and the missus privacy... I do NOT NOT NOT want to risk seeing Balladeer flutter by in those plastic wings! LOL) and I won't crush the plants, (but water them as I drool.) *G* 'Kay? I work cheap! LOL |
