*This was my very first post in coming to Passions and now I have put a title to it and it is being reposted as I try to recapture some of the moments of my yesterdays. It was not written for anyone but I would now like to dedicate it to a certain butterfly.* The Peace Within Us The peace within us is set forth through our love and our desire It exists in us because we openly choose to set our hearts free and cherish what we share This is a gift of life given for our purity in trust for one another It is bound in us deep within allowing us the pleasure of truth Mark Bohannan [This message has been edited by Mark Bohannan (edited 09-27-2000).] |

Mark, This is really nice. I like the line... we openly choose to set our hearts free. Many times it is choice. Hugs, Deb |

Hi Mark, What a wonderful poem, but have you been reading my mind, because the poem I just posted was along the same lines... (sort of). Anyway I enjoyed it thoroughly. Regards, Linda Munday |

As always, my cowboy friend.....you wrote with your heart, even if it was a while ago. Your style is only enhanced with time, and as long as you write.....these eyes will read!! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

The peace within us is set forth through our love and our desire It exists in us because we openly choose to set our hearts free and cherish what we share ==================== I, for one have found much peace in you and the things of your heart you share ... and I do cherish you with in quiet comfort there is peace of mind peace of heart and soul as well. This early offering of wisdom ... shows your open hearted spirit was looking for a voice, once finding it in poetry ... you have grown in your own light and have become a gifted and exceptional poet and friend. It has been a beautiful thing to watch ... love you my gentle friend me |

Mark I've liked your work always, and it's grown better and better. You have a sure and certain touch, and your words are always so beautiful. So I thank you for reposting this, for giving me the opportunity to enjoy it. It's a pleasure to see how your work has grown and I thank you for giving me something to aim for. Take care Marsha |

Although I believe I did not help with a title, I do recall seeing this, and to see it again shows the growth you've been through in such a short time. I'd say you need to put in a lifetime supply of ink and paper... |
