Reminiscing.... I have enjoyed our walks so far and was just thinking back. Back to the first time that our hearts did touch. Do you remember the starlight kissing our souls as I reached out to the heavens and found you upon the deck of desperate cries? Your heart torn to shreds from the passing of love. Tears of bitterness flowing down your cheeks resting against heavy heart. Through the shallows of shimmering pools we have touched the cadence of heavens kiss. Resting our backs on the strength of solid rock embraced in the throes of passion. No time did we take to love and to trust as a lifetime of yearning thrust itself upon us in one fell swoop. We felt the sweet caress of the moonlights kiss brushing against us in violet skies as tender waves of yesteryears caught up to us. The soft flow of your hair resting against my chest as your head reeled in the peace of your soul's release meeting mine in the middle as they danced among the stars. The breath of our pleading captured in the summer breeze of August as a kiss of warmth crept within your walls. The doorway to your heart left unlocked for the welcoming home of my love for you. I remember the sands of white crystal beaches melting under our feet as we strolled heart in heart and gazed upon the dolphin's play and the sweet sounds of song from the symphony of azure waves as they flooded the floor where we found our dance. The seas of love two-stepping upon our hearts as we held each other tight and sought the freedom of eternal peace in the tidal pools of our eyes. We have been walking the paths of heated passion and exploring as luna's delight caressed our cheeks and streams of white given lust have taken us among midnight's rainbow. These paths now before us call upon us to choose which one to take. One is filled with roses resting on the walls of beaten down sod as they linger outward with promises of sweet scents of lust hiding the thorns of misgiving trust. On this path you will find glistening jewels dancing in the sun until you step upon them, finding them to be disguised as to hide the counterfeits of shards of glass. The other is laced purely in the soil of the earth overgrown honestly with the overgrowth of grass and dandelions of neglected care. At the far reaches of it's journey are the succulant aromas of orange blossoms in the air. No matter which path you choose it is the orange blossoms in the end of the light as they giggle in the wind knowing that each path leads to their teasing. It is under this gift of love where you will find me as I journey down the path of neglected care with open eyes and heart opened armed with tears in my eyes. Walk with me or follow your own path for in the end we shall forever dance to the song of the heavens as sung by the stars. "The soft flow of your hair resting against my chest as your head reeled in the peace of your soul's release meeting mine in the middle as they danced among the stars." Ok, that's just ONE of my favorite lines in here my friend ... but there are so many! Spectacular read Mark, you've welcomed in 2000 with an exceptional verse! Truly a tender and romantic rendering that flows deeply from your heart. Beautiful! Best wishes, /Kit . [This message has been edited by Kit McCallum (edited 09-11-2000).] |

Dear Mark, What words could I even say to something as perfectly written as this. This is filled with tenderness and un selfish love..........which I feel is the hardest to give. Only those who have searched and listened to their heart can give as you have in this and for that I see the color of white. Which for me resembles the purity of your heart. "It is under this gift of love where you will find me as I journey down the path of neglected care with open eyes and heart opened arms with tears in my eyes." "Walk with me or follow your own path for in the end we shall forever dance the song of the heavens as sung by the stars." Thank You for you and this wonderful poem filled with imagery and heart felt emotion. This has overwhelmed me to say the least...........you are a true gentleman. Congrats to you my friend on your 2000th post. Take care...... Jenn E |

Mark, First of all congratulations on 2000, of all the luck to have you hit it while my computer was frying...but that's one of the best things about poetry...it lives forever. Secondly let me say that this is absolutely beautiful, thank you for giving me a look at this prior to you posting it...I needed the extra days to find the words for how much this touched my heart...this is a visit to true love...love that asks for nothing but accepts everthing...as beautiful as the poet himself. Lastly my dear friend...thank you for allowing all of passions be a part of your climb to 2000 and reaching that milestone with this beautiful piece...it truly reflects your heart and soul~ **Angel Wing Hugs and Butterfly Kisses** to you sweet cowboy |

Mark, Firstly let me say congratulations on the 2000 the post. It is smooth, colourful, passionate everything that poetry should be. Secondly you'd better send a copy of this to JM so she doesn't need to "break out" to get to read it, although I suspect she will anyway. Brilliantly done. Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |

Scene 1 - Take 17 ! MarkB~ This is the loveliest of the lovely. Breathtaking in presentation of the sincerity that I know lives within your heart. Why it's enough to cause hearts to flutter ! You've let us look deeply into your heart - and I like what I see ! Nah ... that's not exactly true ... I love what and who I see ! May all the love given from your heart be returned to you a thousand-fold. God bless and keep you in His love and in her love. Big hugs and a tiny smooch for your friendship. Congratulations, my cowboy friend. *Winking* at you ! Love and hugs. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
