World's Buffet
by Linda Munday

This frantic life is not our lot
It drags our feet through clay
Like tigers claws it scratches life
And in the dirt we lay

Although it tries to entice us
Please push it right away
Like poison in silver cup
Avoid the world’s buffet

But in our mouth it tastes so sweet
A feast set on a tray
But in our stomach tastes like bile
Our senses are betrayed

The simple things are often missed
A pace that leads astray
The fashion of the modern world
No time to sit and pray

Come quietly to the roses now
And smell their sweet bouquet
A soul’s retreat from pace and pain
A legacy conveyed

Linda~
Oh, what an important message you convey in this one.

'Come quietly to the roses now
And smell their sweet bouquet
A soul’s retreat from pace and pain
A legacy conveyed'

And a calm serenity comes over me with the
thought of this.
Thank you for sharing it.
I love to stay up and share my night hours
with wonderful friends half a world away.
LOOK at that moon ... she's doing a number
on me too !
Go on .. go look ... I'm taking a peek and
knowing that you're looking makes me feel
that we're just a sigh away.
