Reverie's DesignThere is a place I visit that you and I have shared Alone in muse's calling, I often find you there I find you there in dreamlight in golds and greens, subdued My hands, your face, caressing, Your warmth, my skin's renewed The tender trance of breathing so close, in touch and song Our dreams have come awaking No more, need we prolong You take me to your lap there, your eyes glow candlefire Our blood ignites with touching Pulsing pounds us with desire I face you in my longing, and feel yours climbing high The throbbing point of passion, never more can we deny ~ ~ ~ And in the afterwhispers when greens and golds decline I ache to realize, my love, 'twas reverie's design Claire |

I liked the recurring gold and greens line in this poem..well actually i liked all of it..but that stood out..brought it full circle for me A lovely poem Tess "What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies." -Aristotle |

Rex...I do feel fortunate to have this dream, but alas, that is all it is...merely phantasy's finding. I thank you, so, for reading. Seymour...thank you, dear poet, for being so nice. Janet Marie...to elicit a peacefulness in one who reads my work brings pleasure to me. Thank you, in earnest, for your response. Nan...thank you, for reading, enjoying, and letting me know. Marge...what I find enchanting are your lovely responses to poetry that moves you. Thank you so much. Danny...no matter, for I do not understand them either. That you read my poem and found it worthy of a response is all the compliment I could wish for. Thank you, sincerely. Ruth...I'm glad. Yours find that same chord in mine. Denise...thank you. That you can feel it makes the writing worthwhile. I'm so glad you enjoyed this. Tess...thank you...I find golds and greens to be such inspiring colours. I'm awfully glad you enjoyed reading this piece. Thank you for your kind commentary. David2...your reply was very lovely, as well. Thank you for letting me know that you enjoyed this poem. Michael...I don't want to sweep you "too" far away, stay close where I can read your work! Thanks for reading, my friend. WildChild...Thank you, in earnest, for your generous comment. This dream, to me, "is" sometimes real. I guess we all have our share of those, don't we? I'm glad to know you enjoyed this. Martie...and I love the way "you" write. I thank you for reading this and offering such encouraging words today. ~ Claire |

Somewhat taking from Robert Frost, "No passion in the writer, no passion in the reader." Anyone reading this beautiful expression of thought will have their passion cups overflowing. Beautiful poetry. |
