Your friendship means the world to me So important I hope you see Without you there to lean on All my hopes would be gone I know that you are always there With compassion beyond compare Willing to listen to my fears Offering comfort for my tears With your written or spoken sentiment Encouragement and support is sent Straight to my heart it goes Helping me see the highs, not just the lows A kind word or understanding look Is all it really took For me to know that you cared More than most others dared Now there is a bond between us A special rare kind of trust Friends for life through good and bad When we are happy or are sad Me for you and you for me That is how it will always be Our paths have crossed for a reason Together they'll stay through all seasons Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Panthers...thank you, I consider myself very fortunate indeed. Sven...yes it is. They are put in our lives for a reason. Marge...I have been blessed beyond belief with one of those rare gems...a friend for life. JM...Just love your work first of all!!! You too seem to write from the heart. She inspired me to write this poem which I posted with her blessing. It is a special bond we share that is strong enough to face anything. Thank you for the touching comment. Romantic Heart...thank you, very kind words. She is a wonderful person. Without her in my life at this time, I do not know where I would be. BG...yes, she is aware of my feelings and they are reciprocated a thousandfold. We are truly blessed.
