The moon hangs over the ridge this cold December dusk They say if you stop, and listen carefully, you'll hear the Lone Wolf's song. The air all around hanging heavy with fog and a haunting musk It's been told that the Lone Wolf's song is of a love lost long ago A tale once told to me by the Medicine Men and the Shamans of the tribe Accompanied by that haunting song, drifting to the canyon here below Once, when I was young, I went to seek out the Lone Wolf's song I ran as far as I could to the Great Mountain where the Lone Wolf was said to reside And my life has never been the same since that day so long. ----------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
