This explains my St. Baldrick's Day experience. I guess it could apply to other stuff too, I don't know On a day that was so sunny, I looked around to get some money, They asked "what for," I said "because," Who wouldn't want to join a cause. I'm talking all my hair away, To help sick kids to find a way. These kids have none to call their own, The hospital's their only home. I shaved my head I did it then, I got to feel just like them. People staring in the hall, Made me feel like I'm so small. What else to say, but comes a day, To keep those beastly thoughts away. It seems the best way for us all, To let it go with head held tall. Please, please, please let me know what you think. |

This just needs a bump. It should be read, not for the rhyme but for the awareness of the topic. |

Hold that bald head up tall and proud. You did something wonderful to help those less fortunate than yourself. On an Oprah show, I saw the delight of children who received wigs made from hair donors. You have done something to light up the life of a child in need. You are walking your talk! God bless you! People like you are making a difference. A very touching poem with a meaningful message. Yo Crosscountry83, This is a very good idea. I have always had a very high forehead, and people have called me "Baldy" since I was a kid. Now my hair is white, so no one knows the difference. Bobby |

Thanks for all the replies, I still have short hair, so people think I'm a guy sometimes... It doesn't really bother me though Rileigh |
