I waded out too deep…
didn’t see, you… didn’t see
and now it’s too late

I am carried away
in foreign currents
and treading
isn’t the custom here…

you know deep waters scare me
and that I prefer the beach.

Ooops! I just realized that when I followed your link to Paul's poem, I neglected to reply to yours!

I suppose one could say that this poem is about SEA drifting out to sea...
