5710 The Poet and the Jew 20 September 2006 The poet and the Jew a beautiful man in love His body strong and beautiful her heart warm and soft The gentile, the Christ of love this man God gave in Son To know him was charity to walk with him was never a void to fall God gave Christ His only begotten God gave voice the voice of a Jew To this end I was born God gave me to love you “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” John 18: 37 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
