Rewrite:

A Childs Past

It was a hundred year cast
Back into her living past
Enclosing me in memories lace
She took me to this eerie place

A one room house with roof of straw
She lived there as a child of four
With three cots and a fire pit
Where her sister and a mother fit

And when she moved from out this stall
Her shadow raced along a wall where
A chignon priest with raven hair
Gave candy to this sweet child fair

And my eyes went to wells of wet
As she recites this childhood let
I stroked the wrinkles on her hand
And kissed her brow in understand

Though empathy can feel the last
Only love can touch the past

Mr. T., I was filled with emotion as I read this tender spill from your loving heart. Memories such as these connect each generation with those that follow...

You know of all you have written this has truly touched a place in my heart where no words of yours have before.  You can't leave me wondering who this was about - was it your Mother?  In any event you are right again only love can understand.

Lady,
Yes they are and thank you so much.

Sharon,
Yes it was about my mother as a child before she came to this country. The wall she said was six feet tall and the raven haired priest even taller.

Thank you love.

Seymour...if I read this correctly, this could have been written with bitterness, not  the loving way you so beautifully expressed it here.

You are indeed a treasure.
