I only saw you - in the world that I knew, But enough... to give perfect content. For I only felt rapture - when your love I did capture, And I looked in your eyes and we knew what it meant. From that first starry gaze - to our eternity of days, Euphoria swept... my soul to its depth. For your sweet face to touch - your touch said so much, You would smile ever gentle... as gentle I wept. Now I look back and smile - and I think for awhile, Of the world and its beauty... with you as its view. But you left and with dread - I wished that I'd said, "That you were my world and my universe too." Poetry is just the evidence of life. |

Such a bittersweet write, I hope you did tell her. Sing in me muse... |
