In a state of disrepair...

Where is the house
that won't be a tree?
Where is the louse
that blood sucks a dream?

Hey you, hey, hey
Let nobody say
Me, me, me
Somebody pays
That someone's not
free.

Can we pretend
that nobody pays
so we can retain
a decadent wave?

You say, say, say
let sunlight fade
Pain, pain, pain
let lost life rape
love's new lesson in
hate.

Where's the answer
that cannot be true?
When did the cancer
eat right through?

Oh you, you, you
what did you do?
Me, he, she
the direction can be
an answer to questions
I cannot see

Why must a drink
be drunk up to see
the world is an oyster
that's hidden from me?

Pearl, pearl, pearl
Sea, sea, sea
Its all about the
Selfish shellfish
She, he, or me.

"The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun
With Coca Cola clouds behind a Big Mac sun."

One God by The Beautiful South

A very clever and truth affirming write.

I ABSOLUTELY adore it.
