Year to Come The year’s end brings the beginning Of a past that was and is to become Behind the tears and anger of yesterday To which we now smile and rejoice gratefully Of a love that sacrificed to us The meaning of faith, forgiveness and hope Once so long ago forgotten in sin and shame But now strengthened over the years with celebration Woven from the hands of ancestors and wisdom A quilt made of promises and a kiss from God Blessing this time we have come together Giving honor to Him that loves us the most So that in time each will meet the Maker With a promise we will all greet each other again And remember this time shared with laughter and smiles On Christmas day and the year to come……..
