I woke today at 3 AM,
quivering lips sighing your name.

Outside,
a whistling wet winter wind whips
a neighbor's discards
from an overturned trash can;
airborne playthings!
Sassy Kat’s wind chimes sing,
whilst tall trees supplicate,
howl in bend, but do not break!

Inside,
a calm serenity prevails,
as I whisper a waterfall of thankful thoughts
to you, for weathering all life’s storms
so that we may merge midstream
in a confluence
of One from two.

I love you.

Excellent alliteration, imagery, meaning/message content here!

The warmth is warmer in contrast to the cold outside.  Well visualized.  And the ending, so simple, speaks loudly.

Wow Kacy,  this poem is so descriptive and
so in line with the feeling that it gives
the reader.  Job well done!
