'Twas heaven I saw when your eyes gaze into mine, To reflect like the waters… in sweet flowing brook, And convinced what I glimpsed was an Eden divine, My soul was in rapture and in awe did I look. For when parted… our souls together have slept, And rose like the wing on a warm morning mist, And my love everlasting… my passion has kept, But unleashed was my passion with our first gentle kiss. So poor was my soul for each moment departed, Still long shall remain… sweet moments as this, And extended my search - too late was it started, For sooner the journey… then sweeter the kiss. Poetry is just the evidence of life. |
