I was in school that day. I watched it on tv Some how I changed that day I sat in the hard chair My soul was there with them I felt debree linger Then I saw the second tower It callapsed on top of it's self much like the first tower before It never tipped over Reminded me of pearl harbor but this wasn't a navel base At the same time my mom was reaching my brother from south california His wife assigned to one of the missing planes Later that day we found My sister inlaw left on an earlier plane So here is my poem Patriot Day What is tragedy? I ask because now I see And question among ashes of time What is right and what is wrong I have seen the tears Run down the faces of men And wonderers scream out to the sky Yet still together we stood -<>-~-<>-~-<>- |

We all changed that day... even those who weren't fearing for close loved ones. Hopefully... most of us changed for the better... knowing many did not. |
