she always wanted to be remembered
as something poetically proper
like a magazine with classy glossy
and no finger prints lingering

and perhaps I could have been
the hymn she should be hearing
but it was not in the card game
and our leathers would have clashed

when she learned to speak woman ease
from her newly painted lipstick
and that half the fun of being pages
is in the being turned so often

that your edges are worn down lovely

it is marvelous when we find relationships as complementing our life paths....knowing we were good together at the time, but change is inevidable, and sometimes people were not meant to be as such, yet, more so, gaining a good friend forever, smiling upon the thought of them...very mature, accepting and loving...to allow others to go forward and progress without us.

Outstanding write....
