Inject me with Martha Reeves to make my feet burn (Oh what a sound) Dissect me with Smokey and I can feel my heart yearn (motoring with Motown) Resurrect me with Marvin & Tammi 'cause I don't want to learn how to live without your love your precious love (oh sugar pie honey bunch) Now my eyes are tired corner intersections combust Jack Kerouac surrenders wicked charms a live wire aching to retire to her lovin' arms oh I watch my Fender rust before her smile so warm That's all for me boys so play me outta here please darlin' don't shed no tears 'cause baby, objects in the rear view mirror are closer than they appear So try to steer clear of any future fear into the red heart district redemtion is so near I can take all the city can inflict 'cause I love you, dear and the way you do the things you do (the way you do the things you do) said the way you do the things only you do, babe (talkin' bout my girl, my girl) right here I found paradise in the world with my girl "Hey, it's me, I'm dynamite and I don't know why" -- Van Morrison, 'Sweet Thing' |
