It's been two years since Tsjip and Sarah died
Our hunting dogs, their image closed in heart
Since then, I haven't seen the sky at night
And so it's time to make a fresh new start

By chance I found these little puppies dear
They call them 'Working Sheepdog' and they are
When grown, they'll herd my sheep, bring them to me
At night, when bright, I will enjoy sky's stars

They're litter sisters and they're four months old
The blonde is Tipper and Dixie's black and white
I'm falling in love all over again
I'll bet you too, at such a pretty sight

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

How very sweet. I'll bet Tsjip and Sarah led the girls to you.

Titia,
When we're not searching
Our lives intersect,
To mend our hearts
In ways we least expect.

Congratulations and may I say I'm quite jealous. Thanks for sharing.

P.S. Please give mama Muys my love.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I don;t understand why you would name one after Passing Shadows and one after Gore's wife and forget the old Balladeer but I'll get over the disappointment.

They are beautiful, Dutchie, and deserve the title of "lucky dogs"!

Oh, look at those little cuties!!! They are just adorable, and I'm sure they'll keep you running around after them while they're in the puppy stage. Good to see your pictures and poetry again

Long live the kin
of the ancestor...
They are beautiful young pups...
and I know you will
grow them strong,
learn them well,
and love them long.

But it is hard to believe,
it's been two years...

Tina - who knows, maybe they did.

Dixie - LOL, I knew you would like the black and white one

Larry - you're jealous at the hard work of raising a puppy??? LOL the first hole in a sweater has already been made.

Marge - 'while you mend' that's exactly why I got them at a later state, because I was unable to tend to them properly before. Results: I miss at least two months of socializing.

Interloper - I hope they do.

Nancy - I'm sure glad to have them and when all is going well, I won't have to run after my sheep again.

Chris - They're showing their love already.

Sky - yes it's fun to see them play and discover the world around them.

Midnitesun - I'm happy too, because these are just the kind I was looking for. My hip is coming along, takes more time than I thought though.

Balladeer - you have guessed it right, clever boy you are! You asked why I didn't name one Balladeer???? Well...you see....they're both GIRLS you know But...your namesake ram is charming some ladies in Belgium at the moment LOL he was very pleased I can tell you.

Tracey - running around after the pups is not easy when walking with one stick and training them to walk on a leash is quite dangerous I must say LOL they keep circling my feet and stick.

Sunshine, yes time runs fast. Sarah died November 5 2003 (that's 3 years already) and Tsjip died June 15 2004. These two little puppies have quite different characters. They're far more sensitive and when handled too harsh, one can 'break' their spirit. Very difficult to know what to do the right thing sometimes.

Awwww, they are so cute. I love animals, too. I'll bet you spoil yours with love just like I do. I have another kitty that I've gotten spoiled already. He is such a loving kitty. My other two and my doggie Scooter, are so jealous of him. Give your two little ones a hug for me.
Hugs,
Ethel
