 Every Blessed Mile ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ While looking in my mirror, I have visions of a younger me. ~ A girl with dreamy aspirations, Who frolics fancy free. I see blue eyes that are not jaded, I see an innocence as pure as snow. I see enthusiasm that is unbridled, I see a traveler with miles to go. The years have not been gentle, I’ve had losses and I've known pain. But I never let them wear me down, For I knew the sun would follow rain. ~*~ The girl resides within me, For she is my inner child. Yet, still I grow with every step, Down every blessed mile. “We are borne of star dust, and to the stars we shall one day return.” ~ Linda L.
