the small talk was silly rain the kind that makes windows smile like koolaid glasses sometimes on summer afternoons I was beyond your smile then wondering of your hair smells when you took the wind along with the windows down jeeping some seaside avenue with your mind on tiptoes like luxury in sand tones ladylike but woman natural and then your eyes said my name and made me forget the story I had written for this tomorrow the one I recited in the mirror when your back was turned lovely _____________ daark |
