unleashed

the tongue of storms pent up
inside billowing clouds

rent asunder
by your thunder

sheets of icey words
cut through
whatever warm
the skies once held

pelt me I wailed,
for I no longer need
to pretend dry eyes
are worth the price

and the cleansing

clears the air
and recharges me

Tears can be so cleansing! ~ both ours and the ones that fall from the skies.

Our tears produce endorphins and rain produces negative ions! Tears bring about a win/win situation!

I like the 'sheets of icy words'--sometimes I guess you just have to let go. I like the extended metaphor in this one. Well done.
