yellow headed sun
bobbing over bayou
charcoal man sitting on verandah
legs stretched
long shadow
sipping café au lait
soft fingering mustache
thinking

lady busy in and out
screen door flapping

   where you goin’ poupée?

buy your son some pants
walkin’ chile
in shirt tail
ain’ right

   ain’ got no ‘chouli beb
need me some dominican leaf too
   my calypso dead

ain’ got time to study no ‘chouli
or calypso
got this chile to tend

t’char follow maman
hand pushed in hers
amber eyes trailing to bayou
wave bye bye papa
mouth red o
bare feet tripping fast

charcoal man sigh big
step to railin’
ole ‘gator sunnin’ on bank

   ole caimon
   I love my lady
   I do
t’char all she think ‘bout now
I ain’ fixin’ to follow her ‘round
like no blamed shirt tail boy

   man gotta have
   what a man gotta have
   you unnerstan don’t you
   ole caimon?

   you slide down the bayou
   come night
   visit other lady gator
   joie de vivre
   yeh?

   peekon stuck in my throat
   chokin’ me
   reckon wha happen
   I go down the bayou
   for a chot
   little bamboula
   with purple red skirts
   make nice nice?

   I ax you
   ole caimon
   reckon what lady do?
   reckon she miss me?

ole ‘gator close his eyes
against high rolling sun
ain’ say nothin’
he too wise

And they're back...
my goodness, but that bebe
he grew fast,
just like in a soap opera.

I want more bubbles...

soon!

You know we're going to hang on again,
don't you?

There is something about this regional dialect, the way you set the scene, that is like the Delta Blues, except without the familar beat and musical tone. It is the oral history of Robert Johnson and through Muddy Waters to the blues men of today..thank you lady, you keep writing and i will come on in your kitchen..thank you..

Goldenrose.

Oh I am so happy to see this pair back!!!
May I beg for more please?
Love it...absolutely love it!

No spring, nor summer beauty
hath such grace...
As I have seen in one autumnal face.
