The eruption of my heart’s haze Fizzles Symbolic of love and kill rage Once full of emotion’s ripe will Now it’s myriad madness Stuck in red dementia Breeds The darkest eclipse Shedding over with blood The memory of beauty Now ashes Burnt beyond mending… Upon the heart of a wingless angel Like a heavy burden A brick is lodged into his chest Staggering He steps towards the next trying moment… Destiny revealed in a useless dream Where nothing ever has meaning |

"the memory of beauty now ashes" powerful sense of futility in those words. they stick in my mind as I remember all the times I've been there. Great wordplay throughout and I like how the title conveys the same overall feeling of the poem itself and draws people in. good job. No one is more professional than I. I am a Noncommissioned Officer, a leader of soldiers. |
