I followed

I searched the ebb tides after glow
To gather threads of what I know
And wound then bout a spool of rants
For future patch to patch my pants

Well worn they are from do and wink
All those thoughts I weave and think
About the way those things should be
Sailing here upon life’s sea

I’ve moved about from place to place
To make and weave this present lace
And found the shawl that covers me
Needs patch on patch like sails at sea

At night I drink the wine of dream
And follow stars that point to seem
Brush my teeth illusions brush
With fantasies of full and lush

Yet here I stay a course too long
And still I feel I don’t belong

Sir Sigh, you are a Sonneteer that would please the likes of Shakespeare himself!

A touching and uniquely creative piece of writing.
