we were merrygorounds
in syrup slow dancing
but we pushed harder
and made our legs sore

I worshiped at your laughter
when you cried sometimes
those concussions were lovely
when you made them louder

then my whispers dared be
and played them back over
a dozen times again
seeming perfectly insatiable

and perhaps willing to allow
me to kill myself trying
to undo another pearl button
of your improper attention

with the penned wings of butterflies

I simply *sigh* with the realize
that your playground would  make merry
(any day of the week)
