If these moments were my last And tomorrow never came for you and me... Would I truly know how you felt? If you walked through the door And found that I was gone like sand through your fingers... ...you thought you had a hold on me... But where did I go? Would you regret the truth that I didn't know how much you cared? Maybe so, Maybe not Was not making it home, not calling, not thinking Really worth it? Maybe so, Maybe not What if those phone calls you missed, ignored... Were to be the last words you would ever hear? Maybe if you would have answered the phone... walked through the door... The tears that blinded my view from that oncoming truck would not have been there. or my bags would still be un-packed... and in the closet collecting dust. Maybe so, Maybe not. Please take a moment Mean what you say Say what you mean And think about tomorrow Do you see me there? Maybe so, Maybe not.  I'm feeling pretty dark tonight- And I'm not usually a dark writer, so this was kind of odd for me. I hope you enjoy....or atleast tolerate it! |

Very well understood but I also understand that the he or she who is disregardful will one day "understand" - there's no maybe about it - but it's perhaps for another place and time and all we can do is be patient. |
