the who of who we are

akin to truth

fascination

flash narrative

inner workings

by other persons

gaining direct access
to an emotional crumb
contemplating the infinite
world while swinging
with
childhood

self-expression
comes out
of the closet
another point of view
finds voice

true chronicles

testifying
explaining
rationalizing
rearranging

skins of inner minds
souls distant
yet close
with the warmth
of coat

wizards of
out of body
experience

connotations of co-ops
kicking around

imagination
illumination
and
a stretch of things

now

discarded

forgotten

in my case
self evaluations
in some other dimension

some left exposed
some all mine for later
expressions

a chunk of my heart
still leans toward the
unexplored
free cause I wanna be

and closer to the guy
responsible
for my birth

I am only a woman
of mortal fiction
branded with irony
sometimes
drunk
with deprivation
two stepping through crowds
nearly dwarfed while
stroking the fire
that
hides
in the alleys of
memorizing shapes & sounds

societies outcast
purely by choice
alone
yet filled with
great companions
great songs
with voice

tail lights gleam
in the rear view mirror
and we marvel while
viewing jewel-studded cities

yellow winds of prayer

unicorns on the beach

things only poets dream

imagry of words
dressed in pure fur
dinner and a movie
gathering flaxen cocktails

not impossible to obtain

seems
I’m always
cross parking
in fourth place

yet its ok
  really

sometimes
I want for no thing
perhaps theres still time
so
I browse through
consignment stores
one never knows
what might skip their way
with a song and a prayer
I might share that home
someday

while along the oceans
the seas
great cities
I've never been

I imagine you
warmed by some
influence
of fondness

delicately

wiping the
hairs of morning
from my face

sometimes I ponder

who we might have been?

Worth contemplating LeeJ, but I often find myself being content with who I am.  Then again I guess that because it has been a rather interesting journey.  Enjoyed your reflections mate.

Lee, Your name means 'meadow'.  Walking with you through yours, you express wonderfully who we are and how your inner workings move. I can feel your courage and the singularity of your heart that dreams in your uniquely beautiful way.  The thoughts run through you like a river.  You are filled with "great companions, great songs, great voice, and the dreams only a poet can dream."  L O V E L Y  L E E !

That's what I call ending it with a BANG
Superb!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Yes, LeeJ, of course it's a masterpiece - it's what you do and I salute you!  Well, okay then, I'm also bowing and it's a pleasure to do so.

Lee, I love you, girlfriend! As I have said to you on other occasions, to know the real you is to love you. This poem reflects so many aspects of the real you and you shared them beautifully with your readers ~ and friends.

Great big loving hug,
Linda
P.S. My gawd girl, you sure can write!!!

Life is a better place for poetic dreams such as yours. A beautiful poem that strikes a chord in so many of its lines. Thankyou for letting us in.
