I was born
with eyelids sealed
as if I was meant
to look within,
but a surgeon
with a fine blade
made me view the world
through open wounds.

Well, now you've got me wondering how
many of us didn't have such a kind
physician in our earlier days...

Well done, Sir.

A thoughtful poem, and a wondering if that surgeon knew that there was more to learn.

Anthony~
First I got a tickle out of seeing -
[I was born] shirtless~

Then your thoughts pulled me into the depths of this piece~
