4805 Hook - Line and Sinker 30 December 2005 The smile of enlightenment this foreclosure from yesterday An emotional embrace to stand at midnight Yet where was tomorrow her place of comfort to insure That cheer in friendship masked within eyes of delight Was she a reality or a misunderstanding In her own essence to life maybe that was the mystery High upon hills their richness in supplication Of a mourning prayer given in adoration for her existence “A FALSE balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.” Proverbs 11: 1 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
