This was inspired by these words said in a email "If you ever come to Canada, I would certainly expect you at my table for at least an entire 24 hours." 5613 One Twenty Four 15 August 2006 One day, one, twenty four across a table, words and thoughts Eyes to view, words to speak hands to hold, if that was to be Just asking God, about that day and if that was for Him to grant in prayer One day, of hours, twenty four captured under the shadow of Ontario A Canaan to capture, even if not love An event of greeting, two hearts off from a distance, close in meeting The wonder of all time this stuff money cannot endure No more pain, and less sorrow to encounter One day, in hours of twenty four a knock, a charm, that ship to arrive They call it Oshawa, or even Hope For somewhere in Canada, was that day a future to seek, one in Twenty Four Oshawa is in Ontario, Canada, and Hope is a settlement of British Columbia, Canada. © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
