I Never Was A Soldier I never was a soldier and I never will be one. But over the fallen ones the bugle call I know. I never saw the sunrise in the shadow of death. But I know of graves in fields -- where poppies grow. I never was a soldier but I've seen inside of one. In his eyes there staring out – I saw the God of war. I never held the hand - of my comrade dying. But I in honor rise as filing by - go the Warrior Corps. David D Jerald |

Thank all you for your kind words. You marge are going to give me a big head! LOL I will always be ashamed I did not go and do my duty. Don't try to understand --- its something buried deep in me. It was 1968 and I was ready to be drafted. I was 1A ready to go--- Vietnam bound. . To be short I never went and I will always be ashamed of that.
