Time
and before Time
and Time no more
have affected my vision.

It has become distorted
from that which is deemed
as the "norm".

Prescribed lenses will not
correct my view.

I cannot see
as so many others see.

There remains no desire
for you to see as me.
No longing lingers for you
to understand my narrow vision.

I am seen by most as
either far too peaceful
or much too savage
to function in the "world"
that has been laid before me.

Both views are correct.

I am blinded and cannot see
beyond the boundaries of my vision.

No different than anyone else.

I would request
that you show
patience
and perhaps allow
forgiveness
of my near-sightedness.
I would ask tolerance for
my retardation.

But, it matters not.

The elephant is as a whip.
It is as the trunk of a tree.
It resembles a serpent.

It is all of these things
and none of them, alone.

A rope is a snake is a rope.

The glass is half full
and half empty.

Were it not for the emptiness
it could be neither.

I cannot see the "chaos"
that so many speak of.

I look at the world
And everything within it
Like gazing into space

It is all... "out there"
And is... as it is.

Like watching the stars

I see no good or bad ones.
No flawed constellations.

Eternity is seen in the
things that "pass".
Infinity is beheld within
the world's finite objects.

The first oak remains within
every oak that stands
and within each acorn that falls.
It remains within the rafters
and the furnishings.
Within the heat that comforts
and the smoke that rises
from the chimney tops.

There is only Perfect Peace
There is only Bliss.

The only thing that "seems"
to exist beyond this state
is the wonderful gift of the
"experience of Life"
that I have given myself.

I would ask tolerance
for my retardation

But it matters not.

I am blinded and cannot see
beyond the boundaries of my vision.

No different than anyone else.

Both the elephant and the glass have been in my thoughts a lot lately... but I could never have articulated those thoughts in such a magnificent way.

It isn't thunder you hear... it's my applause. *S*

XO, you may be "blinded and cannot see
beyond the boundaries of (your) vision."

~ but you see far more than most people!

I think you have a fascinating, philosophical mind and I appreciate your ability to express yourself so well!

My father was blind.  It was always amazing what he could see by not seeing.  You have a gift in seeing what you don't see.  I am confusing myself here, but ... I think you see very well and express what you see even better.

but it does matter, or you wouldn't have penned this...and people do look beyond their visions, but remain in denial most times...your perspective is way beyond...
so don't be so hard on yourself...
this was penned and created by a caring heart...
