Ponder in Growth

Like mother and child
daughter and son
From that first day of birth
to each day as one

To take in the scent
and ponder in growth
This love so strong
unified in ways borne

For was it only love
that could answer
Those words sweet to hear
this love created in being

His eyes, her heart
a child’s beating breath
Heavenly, oh so heavenly
until separation remains
