Three little words
that are heard
but I just can’t see
How can you say that you care
or dare to say that you love me?
When caring
is meant to be show
yet you are deaf to my crying plea
And you have placed me in this prison
from these chains will I ever be free

How can you call yourself a
parent
when you are the enemy of your child?
In an uncared for garden
it is the weeds
that are allowed to grow all wild
I know that my existence
is not meant to be a pain
And to those that love
you
can you ever be a bane?
Oh how I long
to be dry and not feel left out in the rain
How can you hope to grow or for
wisdom to ever gain
When the only person that you think of
is the
one
and only you
When you do the things that
you aught not to ever want to do
And the things that you should do
these you choose to give a miss
The loving touches,
yes
that all important parenteral kiss
You are supposed to make me
happy and let me feel
secure
Not leave me feeling blue
and filled with inner fear
You are supposed to take me by the hand
and show me how its done
You are supposed to teach me how to find
love
in the glowing sun
If you don’t change your ways I will
soon be grown and gone
And all you will meditate on
is how you got it all so very wrong

What child has never harbored these feelings toward a parent or parents? Nothing anyone can say, now, will change the hormonal process that controls your thoughts.

Just remember that even God punishes those He loves and we have a hard time understanding His reasoning.

You know I read this and had my own flashbacks, and the one good thing was I grew up and left! I wish the same for the character this poem is about. There is happiness out there and one has to believe and then go find it. Nicely done.

thank you for reading and commenting i really value your input by the way the teacher was male lol and drugs do deffinately suck.

if it is going to be it is up to me i choose my destiny
